Since working together in Hong Kong, back in 2010, I have benefitted from Traci´s dynamic vision for future focused learning. Traci led by example and bought out the best in every teacher in our team with professional respect, trust, and encouragement, something I seek to duplicate to this day. Due to our positive connection and professional respect, we soon began to work together beyond our roles in school. We gathered together our passion for learning and international mindedness into a wonderful resource for inquiry teachers and shared this at our presentation at the IB Conference in Rome in 2014. The focus on International Mindedness grew into a research project on Intercultural Competencies that I completed for my EdD Thesis. Throughout all of our own conversations, Traci and I always create rich discussions around student identity, the inclusion of intercultural considerations for all students, and the importance of creating time and space for teachers to address this in their practice.
